Hey Gang

We want to let you guys know where we will be this Friday to celebrate Independence Day.

Safety Harbor Resort & Spa (105 N Bayshore, Safety Harbor)  We'll be set up back on the bayview lawn overlooking the water.  The party starts at 4:00 and ends with a grand display of fireworks over Tampa Bay.  There will be plenty of food and drink, but you might want to bring a chair or a blanket and plenty of sunscreen.
When we did this show year before last, it seemed like the whole town of Safety Harbor attended, so these folks really know how to throw a party~~

This year, we will be dedicating our show to our two De Lei'ed Parrot Street Team Members
Captain Elisha Parkhill and PFC Michael Best that are over in Iraq helping to keep our country safe.  If you have a little American Flag, please bring it along as we will be flying our flags for them every time we do a teeaaammm drink!!

Hope to see some of you Friday, but if any of you all are traveling, please be safe on your journeys.  By the way, if you're going to the Rays/Red Sox game today at Tropicana Field, stop by the Budweiser Tailgate Tent in Lot 7 and say Hey.  We'll be there from 4:00 until the game starts.

Take care and God Bless America~~^~~^~~

Hey Gang

We welcome all of our new friends to the email updates...First off a big THANK YOU to all of you that braved the weather at the  Sunset Beach Concert in Tarpon Springs (over 750 people attended).  As always, we had a blast and look forward to going back next year.

We also want to thank and give our best wishes to John & Tracy (what an awesome engagement party) and Garrett & Jen Williams on their beautiful wedding last week at the Hilton on Clearwater Beach, and also to John Mill's Jr., for his graduation party...Lot's of celebrations going on for sure.

As you guys know, we perform a lot of private events, but we've got a BIG party coming up this Friday and YOU ALL are invited!!  Here's the scoop:

Friday June 20th 6:00-10:00  "Harboritaville"

Make plans to head to downtown Safety Harbor this Friday. The 3rd Friday Music Series features shopping, dining & entertainment. This FREE street festival takes place from 6-10 pm and offers live music at the John Wilson Park gazebo and at local venues throughout town.
Stroll the downtown shops & visit the quality craft vendors. Grab a bite to eat at any one of the food vendors set up along Main Street or step into one of Safety Harbor's many unique downtown restaurants.
Proceeds of the event will benefit the Safety Harbor Public Library.
(Jimmy Buffett would say "Swine Not?")

Hey Gang

Hope this finds everyone in good health and good spirits~~  First off we want to thank the Clearwater Community Sailing Center for letting us be a part of their fund raiser last weekend for youth sailing.  It was their first event and we were honored to be a part of their success.  Hopefully, next year we can get some of YOU guys out to support such a great cause.  We certainly had fun and helped raise some money too!

It is with very "prideful" hearts that we say "so long for now" to one of our De Lei'ed Parrots Street Team Members Captain Elisha Parkhill as she leaves for Iraq.  Elisha, we are ALL so very proud of you and know that you are only just a song away from us.  We did a team drink in your honor last weekend and we will continue to do this until you come home safely.  We love you girl!!!  Journey safe Captain!!!

OK, last but not least, we are headed back to the Sunset Beach Concert Series this week and it marks our 5th year that we have played this Concert.  It started out with approx. 200-300 people and now we have upwards of 900 to 1000 people in attendance.  We have seen some absolutely beautiful sunsets and are honored to be invited back year after year to perform.  Please take a moment to visit their new website for Music on the Beach.  For those of you who have not attended one of these concerts, this new site is very informative.

May 22nd (Thurs) Sunset Beach Concert Series (1898 Gulf Rd Tarpon Springs) 7:00-9:00
Bring your beach chair or blanket, and come on out~~~ Can't wait to see some of our ole'

Hey Gang

We had a wonderful show opening for The Drifters last week, and met so many new friends. Just wanted to let you all know that we got a last minute show for Sunday this week and hopefully some of you all can come out and check this new place out.

It's called the Deep Water Grill (formally Bally Hoos) at 900 N. Pinellas Ave in Tarpon Springs.  They just had their grand opening last week and the place is great.  Huge tiki deck out back with a cool stage for us, full bar, and a good looking menu.  We play from 6:00-10:00.

It's funny how things work, but we were up checking the place out for a De Lei'ed Parrots reunion in March and wouldn't you know it was their first day opening.  So, with a little more luck this could be our new public venue for the northern counties

Hope to see you Sunday, but if not, please just keep checking the website for updates...

Fins to the north~~^~~~^~~^

Hey Gang,

Hope this finds everyone in good health and good spirits.  Wow, another year is quickly coming to a close...Where does the time go??  New Friends have come in, some friends have moved away, some friends are sailing away and some friends have even returned from the Islands.  Change is a part of life I guess, and there is never an ordinary moment on this voyage as long as we all stick together and just keep sailing~~

With this said, it is with fond memories that we will be saying good-bye to our friends Greg & Kristie as they start their new journey in Texas and we want to send them off in true Parrot Head fashion.  We will be having lots of teeeaaammm drinks in their honor....

So come on out for a fun night.  We've got a few surprises up our sleeves too~~(it's a secret, but I feel some magic coming about)

HE CAME....WE WENT.....WE CONQUERED...!!!!!!

Hey Gang

First off, YES, I still have this smile on...Welcome to all the new additions to our mailing list that signed on during the Concerts this week, and what an AWESOME week we had here in Tampa Bay!!  I apologize in advance if this update gets a little lengthy, but I am humbled and there is a lot to be said.

A Big THANKS to all of you that came out on Friday to the Pre Concert Kick Off at Dog Water Cafe in Clearwater.  I think everyone had fun and that seems like ages ago..

Then Thursday came and upon arrival at the Ford Amphitheatre we were told that Jimmy's plane just went by overhead, but the Coral Reefers had arrived.  I think it had just hit me that we were opening for Jimmy Buffett.  Then when we heard Jimmy singing "Tryin to Reason" for sound check, it all began to sink in.  In the middle of our set up, we had to wait till the 5 minute rains passed, but that brought the cold front in, we did our sound check, and waited for the gates to open.  At 6:30 we started our show, and I want to THANK all of you guys that came by the stage to say "hey".  You know who you are!!!  Our show ended at 7:50 and the Band went backstage and toasted with a bottle of champagne.  Thanks Parrot Brothers for a Great Show!!!

By the time we arrived back at the Amphitheatre on Saturday, we were old pros.  Jimmy sang "On the Road Again" for his sound check, and we had so much time on our hands after our sound check that we even got a little mini rehearsal in.  The gates opened a little earlier because so many more people were there, that we split our show up into 2 sets.  Again, THANKS to all for coming by before and after our show (that includes you Captain Harry).  You all are the best!!  Thanks again to my Parrot Brothers for Rockin' such a Great Show!!!  Yes, another bottle of champagne was corked :-)

One special thanks goes out to Queen Moma Vera for enduring two long days with the band and setting up our merchandising table and getting all the new names on the email list.  Hey, thanks for all that chicken that you cooked for us on Thursday too.  You are truly the new Queen of the De Lei'ed Parrots Street Team!!!!!

I want to thank each of you for your support over all these years, and again welcome all of our new friends.  We surely don't know how long or where this ship will sail, but we are having one hell of a magical, musical journey~~~

Until next time-----

Take care, be safe, and put a jacket over your fins...it's FINALLY cooling off here in the Sunshine State.  Keep an eye on our website for updates and pictures of the Concert Shows....

luv to all
