We know things are pretty rough all over and we know that we are blessed to be able to keep working in these trying times. We thank you all for staying with us and especially our Agents that keep those gigs coming in.

With that said, here is where we're going to be in the coming weeks. We do have some public shows and hopefully some you can take a break and come have a teeeaaaammm drink with us..we would love to see you!!

Sun Aug 30th - St Pete Pier (800 2nd Ave St Pete) 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Hey Gang,

Hope this finds everyone well and in good spirits at this crazy time of year.  We want to first take this opportunity to welcome back our own De Lei'ed Parrots street team member Captain Elisha Parkhill home from Iraq.  As a lot of you know, we have been singing to her and raising our glasses for team drinks since she left back in May.  In some small way, we want to think that this worked, so we are going to continue this tradition for our other street team member that is in Iraq, Specialist First Class Michael Best.  We think he is due home in March, so please keep him and all of our soldiers fighting for our freedom in your prayers.  Elisha and Michael we are all so proud of you!!

OK, if you are ready for a break from all of your Holiday shopping, we want to let you know where we will be this FRIDAY Dec. 19th.  The band has been invited to play at the very first St Petersburg Bowl Beach Day behind the Tradewinds Resort on St Pete Beach.  The inaugural game will take place Saturday at Tropicana Field between the South Florida Bulls and the Memphis Tigers.

Get in the spirit beachfront where all the fun takes place.  There will be both college bands performing, sand sculpture contest, team beach Olympics, blow up boxing ring, eating contest, alumni flag football game, cheerleader tug o' war and of course a tailgate cookout right on the beach with burgers, hotdogs and brats.  In between all of this We will perform.  This event kicks off at 10:00am and we start playing at 5:00.  Best part you ALL are invited and it's FREE!!!

The weather is suppose to be close to 80 degrees on Friday (sorry you guys up north, just think warm).  Hope to see you local folks out on the beach.  For everyone else, we wish you a  very safe and peaceful Holiday Season.

Hey Gang

If you attended the Parrothead PHUN Rally last night please read on...If not, I apologize for having to send this out to our whole email list, but there were so many folks that I wasn't able to get around to speak to and wanted to send this out.

A great big THANK YOU for your show of  support for Bryan Crews at Gasoline Alley last night.  I hope you guys felt all the "love in the air" as we did. It was just like old times.  What an awesome evening at a wonderful, friendly, and accommodating club.  It has been months since I have seen some of you and it just blew me away when people just kept coming through the door.  We have performed at a lot of big shows and festivals, but that little get together yesterday was just amazing.

Let's keep this love going Parrot Heads.....See ya down the road....

Thanks again from the bottom of my fins~~~^~~~^~~~

Hey Gang

We want to let you guys know where we will be this Friday to celebrate Independence Day.

Safety Harbor Resort & Spa (105 N Bayshore, Safety Harbor)  We'll be set up back on the bayview lawn overlooking the water.  The party starts at 4:00 and ends with a grand display of fireworks over Tampa Bay.  There will be plenty of food and drink, but you might want to bring a chair or a blanket and plenty of sunscreen.
When we did this show year before last, it seemed like the whole town of Safety Harbor attended, so these folks really know how to throw a party~~

This year, we will be dedicating our show to our two De Lei'ed Parrot Street Team Members
Captain Elisha Parkhill and PFC Michael Best that are over in Iraq helping to keep our country safe.  If you have a little American Flag, please bring it along as we will be flying our flags for them every time we do a teeaaammm drink!!

Hope to see some of you Friday, but if any of you all are traveling, please be safe on your journeys.  By the way, if you're going to the Rays/Red Sox game today at Tropicana Field, stop by the Budweiser Tailgate Tent in Lot 7 and say Hey.  We'll be there from 4:00 until the game starts.

Take care and God Bless America~~^~~^~~

Hey Gang

We had a wonderful show opening for The Drifters last week, and met so many new friends. Just wanted to let you all know that we got a last minute show for Sunday this week and hopefully some of you all can come out and check this new place out.

It's called the Deep Water Grill (formally Bally Hoos) at 900 N. Pinellas Ave in Tarpon Springs.  They just had their grand opening last week and the place is great.  Huge tiki deck out back with a cool stage for us, full bar, and a good looking menu.  We play from 6:00-10:00.

It's funny how things work, but we were up checking the place out for a De Lei'ed Parrots reunion in March and wouldn't you know it was their first day opening.  So, with a little more luck this could be our new public venue for the northern counties

Hope to see you Sunday, but if not, please just keep checking the website for updates...

HE CAME....WE WENT.....WE CONQUERED...!!!!!!

Hey Gang

First off, YES, I still have this smile on...Welcome to all the new additions to our mailing list that signed on during the Concerts this week, and what an AWESOME week we had here in Tampa Bay!!  I apologize in advance if this update gets a little lengthy, but I am humbled and there is a lot to be said.

A Big THANKS to all of you that came out on Friday to the Pre Concert Kick Off at Dog Water Cafe in Clearwater.  I think everyone had fun and that seems like ages ago..

Then Thursday came and upon arrival at the Ford Amphitheatre we were told that Jimmy's plane just went by overhead, but the Coral Reefers had arrived.  I think it had just hit me that we were opening for Jimmy Buffett.  Then when we heard Jimmy singing "Tryin to Reason" for sound check, it all began to sink in.  In the middle of our set up, we had to wait till the 5 minute rains passed, but that brought the cold front in, we did our sound check, and waited for the gates to open.  At 6:30 we started our show, and I want to THANK all of you guys that came by the stage to say "hey".  You know who you are!!!  Our show ended at 7:50 and the Band went backstage and toasted with a bottle of champagne.  Thanks Parrot Brothers for a Great Show!!!

By the time we arrived back at the Amphitheatre on Saturday, we were old pros.  Jimmy sang "On the Road Again" for his sound check, and we had so much time on our hands after our sound check that we even got a little mini rehearsal in.  The gates opened a little earlier because so many more people were there, that we split our show up into 2 sets.  Again, THANKS to all for coming by before and after our show (that includes you Captain Harry).  You all are the best!!  Thanks again to my Parrot Brothers for Rockin' such a Great Show!!!  Yes, another bottle of champagne was corked :-)

One special thanks goes out to Queen Moma Vera for enduring two long days with the band and setting up our merchandising table and getting all the new names on the email list.  Hey, thanks for all that chicken that you cooked for us on Thursday too.  You are truly the new Queen of the De Lei'ed Parrots Street Team!!!!!

I want to thank each of you for your support over all these years, and again welcome all of our new friends.  We surely don't know how long or where this ship will sail, but we are having one hell of a magical, musical journey~~~

Until next time-----

Take care, be safe, and put a jacket over your fins...it's FINALLY cooling off here in the Sunshine State.  Keep an eye on our website for updates and pictures of the Concert Shows....
